"A Republic If We Can Keep It: Free Speech, Free Institutions, and the 2024 Election," Led by Dr. Adam Carrington, Associate Professor of Politics at Hillsdale College

Dr. Carrington will examine the stakes of the 2024 election considering two essential principles that formed and maintain our Republic. First, he will discuss the role of free speech to any free people, its importance to our Constitution, and threats to it in contemporary politics. Second, he will speak about the importance of institutions, especially separation of powers and federalism, as the context in which free citizens exercise their political power, including speech. These institutions also face significant opposition today and need to be articulated and vindicated by We, the People.
