Chatham County Republican Party

Be Sure to Vote!

And if possible, vote like this:

  • Obtain an absentee ballot
  • Drop your completed ballot off at an advanced voting polling site

Why?

  • You avoid the mail. Unfortunately, there have been incidents in which ballots were dumped by postal workers.
  • You avoid the machines. Several cases here in Georgia indicate that these machines are not reliable, such as when the machine gave several thousand votes to a candidate who was not on the ballot and was not a write-in.

Here's how to obtain an absentee ballot:

  • You can download an  absentee ballot request form/application that you can print out and fill in, OR
  • You may contact the Chatham County Voter Registration Office and ask them to send you a request form/application (  912-790-1520 ) OR
  • You may drop by the Voter Registration Office and fill out your absentee ballot request form/application there in person. (  1117 Eisenhower Dr, Suite E, Savannah, GA 31406. Monday – Fri 8 AM – 5 PM)
NOTE: You must file a separate application for each election and run-off election for which you are requesting an absentee ballot; except if you are a voter who is over the age of 65 or disabled, a military service member, spouse of a military service member, or an oversees citizen (temporary or permanent). If so, you can request to have ballots sent to you for all elections in the election cycle.
  • You may deliver it in person at the Voter Registration Office during regular business hours (  1117 Eisenhower Dr, Suite E, Savannah, GA 31406 )

Here are the 2024 dates you need to know:

  • March 12 Presidential Preference Primary (PPP)
  • May 21 General Primary / Nonpartisan Election
  • November 5 is election day
